ILM Challenge - The Moment - Entry

Here are my entries for ILM Challenge. Had a lot of fun with these as I've not produced full traditional 2D art for some time being more of a 3D Artist now, but was good to exercise those muscles again.

First up is:
Ugnaught Lightsaber Discovery
I wanted to depict a scene set some time after the events in The Empire Strikes Back, where in the bowels of Cloud City on Bespin I imagine some Ugnaught workers on a lower level platform in that central shaft getting a bit of a shock as a strange object clatters to the ground at their feet. This idea seemed like a potentially interesting moment to me, and the discovery of Luke's Lightsaber also linked nicely to The Force Awakens too.

Next up:
AT-ST Walker Assault
I decided to go for a more action oriented sequence with my second image, this was inspired by a popular map on a Star Wars mod I used to work on. Based in the Tatooine town of Mos Espa Rebels would defend it against Imperial attack, and the AT-ST scraps were epic.
