The Moment: Revisited

Just a quick one this. I was just looking at one of my pieces of artwork from the ILM Art Challenge from a few years ago, and there were just a few things about it that I was not really happy about. The work in general was strong, and got the idea across that I wanted to convey, but there were just some elements and decisions that were not as strong as they could have been. So on a whim I decided to do a quick re-edit of the artwork to address these issues. The second character was never quite as strong as the main one in the image, and I remember at the time of the Challenge considering cutting him, so he was the first to go. And then the remaining elements were allowed more room to breathe, and were centered somewhat. Then I decided to add a little more detail to the background tech element which had just been an outline before. With less elements in the shot this needed to be strengthened a little. And that was pretty much it, just a couple of minutes work, but looking at the results I think that made all the difference.

Anyhow, just thought I'd share.

Thanks for looking.
